Mission Statement:

Kawartha Gymnastics Club is a non-profit, Ontario Gymnastics Federation sanctioned organization, dedicated to providing the community with a complete range of gymnastics programs. Focusing on fun, fitness & fundamentals, through excellent coaching, individual attention and in a safe caring environment, we offer challenges & opportunities to develop confidence & well being for all individuals.

Background

In 1971, a few dedicated parents decided that they needed a club to develop the gymnastics skills of their children. And so, the Kawartha Gymnastics Club was born with an original membership of 12 children. The membership has grown steadily over the years to over 600 members.

The original goals of the club were to promote gymnastics as a recreational and fitness activity and to develop competitive gymnasts. The emphasis at all ages and levels of ability was for the children to have fun. These goals remain the principles under which the club operates today.

The Kawartha Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit organization, sanctioned by Gymnastics Ontario, dedicated to providing the community with a complete range of gymnastics programs focusing on fun, fitness and fundamentals, through excellent coaching, individual attention in a safe caring environment. We offer challenges and opportunities to develop confidence and well being for all individuals.

Goals & Future Plans

Our main goal is to find or build a larger facility to accommodate the steady increase in members from the community and surrounding areas. In order to do so, we must continue to fundraise with the help of volunteers.
